Yes to Yuba -- Yuba County's economic development division -- partnered with Sacramento Valley Small Business Development Center to celebrate and invest in Yuba County entrepreneurs.
The Yes to Startups program started with a six-week, free training series that offered business education, resources, and technical assistance to aspiring entrepreneurs. Participants then pitched their business ideas in a competition series in Marysville. The grand prize winner won $10,000 in start-up funding; second place won $7,500; third place won $5,000, and the remaining seven in the top 10 received $2,500.
